There's always King-Bartlett Lake Dam to have a look at close to Little King Lake, and the slopes of Sugarloaf USA are so inviting nobody can resist. There are good spots to look at along the Fire Warden Trail, and a wonderful place for whitewater paddling is Spencer Stream. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Sally Mountain Trail. There's so much to do here at Little King Lake that you need to camp here for a while, King & Bartlett Lake Camp is a

| | fine location for that. A common amount of rain falls here at Little King Lake; during the month of July you get the most rain around here, and February is the month with the least moisture. You can run the rapids of Parlin Pond Stream near Little King Lake, and if you've had enough of Little King Lake, King and Bartlett Lake is nearby. This lake is so wonderful. a brilliant spot to do that. Going for a hike on the Bigelow Range Trail is always a tremendous adventure. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Little King Lake has to offer, you can camp at Black Arrow Lodge. The
warmest time of the year at Little King Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Highs through the winter are frequently in the 20's, and night lows throughout the wintertime for Little King

 | 16 miles away 2 PHOTOS I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises.... |
