Jimmie Pond is a wet place that gets much rainfall; the wettest month of the year is usually November, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful.
If you came to camp Foggy Bottom Marine is a nice location to do that, and Little Jimmie Pond is right by the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. Little Jimmie Pond is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Augusta West Lakeside
Resort is a perfect local campground, and dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Inn & Suites. After a long day outdoors Maple Hill Farm B & B Inn is a delightful place to spend a night or two, and Jimmie Pond is a nice lake nearby.

There needs to be a bunch of water in this stream to even make it doable. on 4/20 we were scooting-ass over many shallow spots in our yaks. Fun drops with laziness inbetween make for a good time especially for the novice.... |

Eaton Mountain
 | 26 miles away 3 PHOTOS Eaton Mountain provides affordable and convenient skiing, snowboarding, and snowtubing to the greater Waterville/Skowhegan area. The mountain boasts a suprising variety of terrain for a compact ski area including glades, challenging steeps, and classic New England style trails. Most of the area is covered with snowmaking and is lit for nightskiiing. Equipment rentals and lessons are available. The base lodge has a snackbar and provides a place to warm up by the wood stove and meet friends. The ski area has new owners as of November 2008 and will not be operating for the 2008-09 ski season. The new owners will be taking the time to make improvements and prepare for a grand reopening in the fall of 2009. Immediate improvements are planned to include an all new snowtubing facility and widening of the Moose slope for a new terrain park. The ski area is located on Lambert Road, just off Route 2 between Skowhegan and Canaan.... |
