This lake is so wonderful. The Morrell Trail offers hiking at its best; you can stay the night at Black Arrow Lodge. Little Jim Pond gets a normal amount of annual precipitation; the month with most of the rain is July; the driest month of the year is February. There's magnificent hiking along the Fire Warden Trail, and Herbert Grand Hotel       is a perfect spot to get some rest. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things at Little Jim Pond. Don't leave Little Jim Pond without first going for a hike along the Bigelow Range Trail; a pleasant location for whitewater paddling is Cupsuptic River.
