The snow is delightful at Saddleback, and not far from Little Jim Pond you'll find Everett Pond which is a gorgeous lake. This lake is so wonderful. The Morrell Trail offers hiking at its best; you can stay the night at Black Arrow Lodge. Little Jim Pond gets a normal amount of annual precipitation; the month with most of the rain is July; the driest month of the year is February. There's magnificent hiking along the Fire Warden Trail, and Herbert Grand Hotel

 | 10 miles away 2 PHOTOS I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises.... |
