     The snow is delightful at Saddleback, and not far from Little Jim Pond you'll find Everett Pond which is a gorgeous lake. This lake is so wonderful. The Morrell Trail offers hiking at its best; you can stay the night at Black Arrow Lodge. Little Jim Pond gets a normal amount of annual precipitation; the month with most of the rain is July; the driest month of the year is February. There's magnificent hiking along the Fire Warden Trail, and Herbert Grand Hotel  
   is a perfect spot to get some rest.
You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things at Little Jim Pond. Don't leave Little Jim Pond without first going for a hike along the Bigelow Range Trail; a pleasant location for whitewater paddling is Cupsuptic River. There's so much to do here at Little Jim Pond that you need to camp here for a while, King & Bartlett Lake Camp is a pleasant place for that; a day on the slopes of Sugarloaf USA
 
               is just what you need. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart beating on the wonderful whitewater of Parlin Pond Stream.
On a pretty day you obtain a panorama of Farm Hill from Little Jim Pond; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Chittenden Pond. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Little Jim Pond. Summer night lows dip down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's; night lows in the-10's for Little Jim Pond.

I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises....
