Katahdin Inn is a delightful spot to get some rest, and if you come at the right time of year, Wassataquoik Stream offers some great whitewater. Little Hathorn Pond is a good place of normal precipitation; July is the wettest month with most rain, and February is when it's the driest. There are great locations to discover along the Sand Bank Trail, and a short spree to Orin Falls is always worthwhile. For       the period of the warm days of summer here at Little Hathorn Pond, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Little Hathorn Pond. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things at Little Hathorn Pond. Don't leave Little Hathorn Pond without first going for                  a hike along the Telos Tote Road; glide down the rapids of Penobscot River - East Branch in a kayak. Camping is available at Matagamon Wilderness Campground, and the summit of Little Spring Brook Mountain can be made out from Little Hathorn Pond. Going for a hike on the Spring Brook Trail is always a good adventure, and some of the water nearby flows, like Big Spring Brook. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Roaring Brook Campground since you're here at Little Hathorn Pond, and at Little Hathorn Pond you always meet someone from Bangor.
