You just can't picture the amount of outdoors cool stuff the White Mountains has to offer. Lakeside Pines Campground is a pleasant local campground, and going for a hike along the Miles Notch Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. Man, is there a heap of entertaining things to do near Lily Pond. A great place for whitewater paddling near Lily Pond is Crooked River, and a round of golf at nearby Lake Kezar Country Club is a great
   way to kill some time.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. If you need a site to stay Oxford House Inn is a magnificent choice, and why not camp at Kezar Lake Camping Area while you're here at Lily Pond. Having a great time in the White Mountains is easy. If you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Crooked River; you can have a great hiking adventure along the Cold Brook Trail. A good close by hotel

is Pleasant Mountain Inn, and a day on the slopes of Sunday River is just what you need.
During the days of summer at Lily Pond highs are frequently in the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are generally in the 20's; overnight lows during the wintertime for Lily Pond tend to be in the 0's. Lily Pond is one of the lakes here in the White Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Some of the water close by flows, like Alder Brook, and you'll locate a beautiful lake called Kezar Pond.
If the weather is wonderful, you get a wonderful view of Christian Hill from Lily Pond, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Albany Mountain Trail. All the water falling down from the sky makes Lily Pond a wet location; all through November this area sees the most rain; September is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. A delightful lake like Little Pond close to Lily Pond is a nice place to stop by, and the snow is great at Shawnee Peak.

Shelburne Trail
18 miles away
Beautiful trail, mostly easy grades. Lots of running water and a few hidden waterfalls along parts of the trail. You hear no traffic, almost no jets, just the sound of wild land around you. There is a nice campsite in a hemlock grove at the height of land, at the intersection of the Kenduskeag Trail. An easy half-day walk between the Shelburne gate (Connor Brook) and the Wild River Camp Ground in Bean's Purchase....

Cranmore Mountain
18 miles away
I have skied at Cranmore many times. The Mountain isn't huge, but has a good 1,200 vertical drop. There is plenty of trails for everyone, including a nice, long beginner run from the summit to the base. Cranmore has lots of steep runs too! The best thing ...

West Pond
18 miles away
West Pond is a truly special place, in the foothils of Mr. Washington. As you approach the pond from the South on Rt. 160, you are met by a breathtaking view of Mt. Washington which is 40 miles away. The water in west pond is crystal clear, and you can often hear the loons. There is a large area around the pond that is protected in tree growth, so the pond will never face additional stress of building. There is also no public access for boats, and that keeps it quiet and free of the kind of noise and congestion you see in popular lakes elsewhere....
