Not far from Lily Pond, you'll hit upon Tolman Pond which is a pretty lake, and there's whitewater on Cobbosseecontee Stream for all you adrenaline people. Foggy Bottom Marine is a splendid campground nearby, and get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Sheepscot River - West Branch. This lake is so wonderful. Sevenmile Brook is a stunning stream that       is worth visiting, and Western View Golf Club is a golf course close by. The yearly rain here at Lily Pond is about average; through November this area sees the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Summertime highs at Lily Pond mostly tend to be in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's while Lily Pond nighttime low temperatures during the                  wintertime are in the 0's. Green Valley Campground is a magnificent local campground, and there are other sites here than Lily Pond, for example Seven Mile Brook. This lake is so wonderful.
