Maple Hill Farm B & B Inn is a tremendous site to get some rest, and a lake nearby is Cobbosseecontee Stream Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Why not explore Crams Point also since you're here, and a great nearby hotel is Winthrop Motel. This spot is unbeatable, just check out all the entertaining things to do close to Lily Pond. There are plenty of folks from Augusta-Waterville here at Lily Pond, and Lily Pond is delightful enough to spend more than a day

The Appalachian National Scenic Trail is a glorious hiking trail in the neighborhood of Lily Pond; camping at The Birches Campground is always a great experience. Lily Pond commonly gets a lot of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is generally November, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is February. this region, and if you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cobbosseecontee Stream. At Collins Dam right next door to Lily Pond there are some interesting things to see, and Lily Pond is not the only
spot close by, Cobbosseecontee Lake is a close by lake. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Lily Pond. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's, and overnight lows at Lily Pond during the winter typically plunge into the 0's.

Eaton Mountain
 | 27 miles away 3 PHOTOS Eaton Mountain provides affordable and convenient skiing, snowboarding, and snowtubing to the greater Waterville/Skowhegan area. The mountain boasts a suprising variety of terrain for a compact ski area including glades, challenging steeps, and classic New England style trails. Most of the area is covered with snowmaking and is lit for nightskiiing. Equipment rentals and lessons are available. The base lodge has a snackbar and provides a place to warm up by the wood stove and meet friends. The ski area has new owners as of November 2008 and will not be operating for the 2008-09 ski season. The new owners will be taking the time to make improvements and prepare for a grand reopening in the fall of 2009. Immediate improvements are planned to include an all new snowtubing facility and widening of the Moose slope for a new terrain park. The ski area is located on Lambert Road, just off Route 2 between Skowhegan and Canaan.... |
