Do stop by Lily Pond while you're in this part of Maine. This lake is so wonderful. There's delightful hiking along the The Anvil Trail, and Acadia National Park is a splendid national park. For the period of the summertime months at Lily Pond temperatures are regularly in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Lily Pond. Good hiking is available along the Alder Path

| | Trail, and an afternoon playing golf at Grindstone Neck Golf Course is always a joy. This lake is so wonderful. Bar Harbor Inn is a tremendous site to get some rest, and you're almost certainly into lakes, Little Pond is one of those close by. Ash Mountain is clearly visible from Lily Pond; Black Ledge is close by, and is a great place. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a magnificent time here at Lily Pond. Dry warm beds await you at Acadia Hotel. | |

You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff at Lily Pond. Go for a hike on the Schoodic Head Trail, and if you've had enough of Lily Pond, Jones Pond is nearby. Bunkers Cove is not far from Lily Pond at all,
and get yourself into a kayak and hit Narraguagus River. The high level of rainfall makes Lily Pond a relatively wet spot; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain while August is generally the driest month.
A brilliant location to camp here at Lily Pond is Mountainview Campground; get drenched paddling on Narraguagus River - West Branch. Lily Pond is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Flanders Bay is a fine local campground, and Jones Pond Dam is a place that is in close proximity to Lily Pond.
