    The beauty of Lily Pond is reason enough to stop by. Bakeman Beach is near Lily Pond if you're in a beach type of mood. If you want a nice time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Lily Pond. A swamp like Jerrys Meadow near Lily Pond has lots of out of the ordinary things to see, and Gull Ledges is an interesting thing to see since you're here. The warmest time of the year at Lily Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's; through summer nights temperatures  
   are in the 50's. For the period of the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 20's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Lily Pond sink into the 0's.
From a rainfall point of view Lily Pond is a quite typical spot; most of the rain falls during November, and February is the month with the least moisture. The Blue Hill Trail is a splendid hiking trail close to Lily Pond; a lake nearby is Round Pond. Dry warm beds await you
 
               at Eggemoggin Oceanfront Lodge, and a journey to Deadman Cove is always a splendid idea.
Near Lily Pond you come across the Sawyer Notch Trail which is a great hiking trail. There's so much to do here at Lily Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Sunshine Campground is a brilliant location for that. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Best Western Fort Knox Inn is a splendid choice, and a delightful location to pop by close by is Harbor Ledge. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Black Dina Trail is always a glorious adventure, and you can stay the night at Robin Hood Camp.
Whitewater paddling is great on Goose Falls, and Kench Mountain can be seen from Lily Pond. Be careful coming to Lily Pond, you might not ever want to go home again. You could also stop at Snake Pond since you're here at Lily Pond; it's nearby, and paddling on Blue Hill Falls is so much fun. Hit the beach if you want, Orchard Beach is practically right here, and swing by Billings Brook it's a fine spot to take a look at.
