    If you like lakes and you're in this part of Maine you can check out Lily Pond. Gull Ledges is a tremendous location to go to while in the vicinity, and there's some flowing water nearby, Billings Brook is a stream you can go to during your stay. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things in the vicinity of Lily Pond. At Lily Pond you can spot Kench Mountain, and get your heart pumping on the delightful whitewater of Blue Hill Falls. The warmest time of  
   the year at Lily Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Lily Pond.
If you like swamps, you're in luck, Jerrys Meadow is right nearby, and a day at Orchard Beach is time well spent. This lake is so wonderful. Lily Pond is right by the Blue Hill Trail, and you can stay the night at Robin Hood Camp.

               forget to check out Deadman Cove while you're here at Lily Pond. There's so much to do here at Lily Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Sunshine Campground is a brilliant location for that. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Lily Pond, you'll locate Parker Pond which is a gorgeous lake, and Best Western Fort Knox Inn is a fine place to get some rest. You feel that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Take a hike on the Sawyer Notch Trail, and if you need a location to stay Eggemoggin Oceanfront Lodge is a nice choice.
A magnificent beach close to Lily Pond is Bakeman Beach; hiking along the Black Dina Trail is great fun. There's whitewater on Goose Falls for all you thrill seekers; Harbor Ledge is also a pleasant location to explore. From a rainfall point of view Lily Pond is a relatively common spot; the month with most of the rain is November, and the driest month is February.
