     If you need a spot to stay Comfort Inn & Suites is a pleasant choice, and camping is available at Nor-40 Campground. A visit to New Vineyard Basin rejuvenates the spirit, and you can go for a hike on the Arnolds Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Fire Warden Trail, and there's whitewater on Sandy River for all you adrenaline people. There are great spots to look at along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, and there are  
   other spots here than Lily Pond, for example Mill Pond.
It's a great idea to go to Dead Stream, it's close to Lily Pond, and there are some magnificent whitewater spots on Temple Stream. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not pop by Porter Lake close to Lily Pond, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Titcomb since you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Porter Lake Dam is worth a visit since you're here; you can never get enough
 
               of the brilliant skiing at Sugarloaf USA.
During the summertime months here at Lily Pond, high temperatures mostly get into the 70's, and the overnight is a bit cooler of course, typically in the 50's. Highs during the winter are frequently in the 20's; overnight lows during the wintertime for Lily Pond tend to be in the 0's. Yeah, come here to Lily Pond for a glorious time. You get a pleasant view of Leavitt Hill from Lily Pond. The annual precipitation here at Lily Pond is about average; during November this area sees the most snow; February is when it's the driest.
So many cool things to do here at Lily Pond, too magnificent to be true. Why not camp at Twin Pond Campground since you're here at Lily Pond, and after a long day outdoors Herbert Grand Hotel is a good location to spend a night or two.

Eaton Mountain provides affordable and convenient skiing, snowboarding, and snowtubing to the greater Waterville/Skowhegan area. The mountain boasts a suprising variety of terrain for a compact ski area including glades, challenging steeps, and classic New England style trails. Most of the area is covered with snowmaking and is lit for nightskiiing. Equipment rentals and lessons are available. The base lodge has a snackbar and provides a place to warm up by the wood stove and meet friends.
The ski area has new owners as of November 2008 and will not be operating for the 2008-09 ski season. The new owners will be taking the time to make improvements and prepare for a grand reopening in the fall of 2009. Immediate improvements are planned to include an all new snowtubing facility and widening of the Moose slope for a new terrain park.
The ski area is located on Lambert Road, just off Route 2 between Skowhegan and Canaan....
