Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend St. Croix River; Rolfe Cove is close by and always pleasant to check out. Just can't get enough of Lewy Lake. A day at Campbell Shore near Lewy Lake is time well spent, and a pleasant trip to The Basin is a fine way to spend an afternoon. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Cloud 9 Motel, and you can       stay the night at Long Lake Campground. A delightful beach close to Lewy Lake is Hold Shore, and Bellmard Motel & Tourist Home is a tremendous location to get some rest. Lewy Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; all through November this area sees the most rain; June meanwhile is the driest month. If you come at the right time of year, Grand Lake Stream offers some good whitewater; do check out George Brook Flowage, it's a beautiful lake. At Lewy Lake during                  the days of summer highs are in the 70's; the overnight is a little chillier of course, generally in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's; night lows in the 0's for Lewy Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Don't forget to take a fine little trip to Huntley Brook.
