You assume that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Lewis Pond; Chase Carry is a perfect local trail. The annual precipitation here at Lewis Pond is about average; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Get drenched paddling on Allagash River, and a pretty lake like Otter Pond is a tremendous place       to stop at. If you need a place to stay Lodge at Moosehead Lake is a splendid choice, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Carry Trail. Whitewater paddling is great on Smith Brook; the peak of Soper Mountain can be made out from Lewis Pond. Throughout the months of summer, highs generally are in the 70's at Lewis Pond with nighttime lows in the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are commonly in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's                  to Lewis Pond.
