If you like lakes and you're in this part of Maine you can check out Ledge Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Coos Canyon Cabins and Campground, and since you're here at Ledge Pond, checking out Piazza Rock is a must. During the months of summer highs here at Ledge Pond get into the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's

 | Today I finished a kayak trip from Strong, Maine and took out at Osoola Park in Norridgewock. It took a day and three quarters. The bridge in New Sharon is by far the largest waves just under the bridge. Tired arms went through that at the near end of day. The water after that is fast for about an hour after that. Need to pay attention.... |
