Lost Valley is rather near. A lake close by is Gulf Island Pond, and Lake Auburn is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Allen Pond Campground is a perfect local campground. Whitewater paddling is fine on Nezinscot River, and
on a tremendous day it's a glorious idea to spend the day at Auburn Municipal Beach. Lake Auburn gets much water; throughout the month of November you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is September. This lake is so wonderful. Get covered with water paddling on Chandler Brook.
