It's a great idea to explore Brown Brook, it's next to Lake Arrowhead, and a tremendous place for whitewater paddling is Little Ossipee River. Do check out The Flowage Reservoir close to Lake Arrowhead, it's a stunning lake, and after a long day outdoors Sanford Inn is a nice site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Saco River is a delightful whitewater spot in the vicinity of Lake Arrowhead, and Ledgemere       Dam is a charming place, absolutely worth visiting. Summertime highs at Lake Arrowhead regularly tend to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Lake Arrowhead dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights. Lake Arrowhead sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is November, and September is the month with the least moisture.                  This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Lake Arrowhead, you could also explore pretty Doles Pond. There's so much to do here at Lake Arrowhead that you need to camp here for a while, Blackburn's Camp Ground is a fine place for that. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Lake Arrowhead has to offer, you can camp at Maine Mountain; from Lake Arrowhead you get a brilliant sight of Chadbournes Ridge. All the outdoors cool stuff in the neighborhood of Lake Arrowhead will keep you coming back time and again.
