Get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Kennebago River, and one of the principal marks of the surroundings of L Pond is Boil Mountain. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Go for a hike on the Arnold Pond Trail, and you'll come across a delightful lake called Big Island Pond. Lakes are such serene places, why not have a look at Big Island Pond in close proximity to L Pond. If you came for       an overnight stay Cupsuptic Campground is a magnificent place to camp, and going for a hike on the Morrell Trail is always a magnificent adventure. L Pond typically gets a great deal of rainfall; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. At L Pond throughout the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and night lows                  throughout the wintertime for L Pond tend to be in the-10's. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Dead River - North Branch; camping is available at Cathedral Pines Camping Area. This lake is so wonderful.
