L Pond is a relatively wet place commonly with a large amount of rainfall; throughout the month of August you get the most rain around here while February is typically the driest month. Round Pond is a nearby lake that you could explore; you can have a great hiking adventure along the Arnold Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Saddleback in close proximity, and hiking along the Arnold Pond Trail is perfect fun.       So many exciting things to do at L Pond, so little time. Camping at Cupsuptic Campground is always a perfect experience; L Pond is right by the Morrell Trail. In case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Kennebago River, and L Pond is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Cathedral Pines Camping Area is a fine local campground. A good site for whitewater paddling near L Pond is Dead River - North Branch, and Boil                  Mountain is pretty and can be observed from here. For the period of the long summer days, highs regularly are in the 70's at L Pond. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's.
