Aroostook Brook is a glorious local stream; a great place to camp here at Kyle Pond is South Branch Pond Campground. High temperatures at Kyle Pond through the summertime months are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. All through the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 20's, and       all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Kyle Pond temperatures plunge to the-10's. Kyle Pond gets a common amount of yearly precipitation; the month with most of the rain is July while February is typically the driest month. Millinocket Lake is a great lake close to Kyle Pond, and there is a fine hiking trail nearby called the Freezeout Road. There are some fine whitewater spots on Millinocket Stream; if you need a place to stay Katahdin Inn is a splendid                  choice. On a pleasant day at Kyle Pond you can take a hike along the Eagle Lake Tote Road, and camping at Matagamon Wilderness Campground is always a glorious experience. This lake is so wonderful. Near Kyle Pond you stumble on the Munsungan Lake Tote Road which is a brilliant hiking trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Munsungan Stream offers some splendid whitewater.
