At Kyle Pond during the months of summer highs are in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. During the winter highs are ordinarily in the 20's; throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Kyle Pond temperatures drop to the-10's. Kyle Pond gets a common amount of rain; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is the month with the       least moisture. The Freezeout Road offers hiking at its best; you can run the rapids of Millinocket Stream. Dry warm beds await you at Katahdin Inn, and there's great hiking along the Eagle Lake Tote Road. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Kyle Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Matagamon Wilderness Campground is a great site for that, and there's whitewater on Munsungan Stream for all you adrenaline rush seekers. If you came                  to camp South Branch Pond Campground is a nice place to do that, and why not a little side spree to Aroostook Brook. Just can't get enough of Kyle Pond.
