What a nice lake Kyle Pond is. High temperatures at Kyle Pond through the days of summer are in the 70's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's with temperatures at Kyle Pond dipping down into the-10's through winter nights. Go for a hike on the Carry Trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Kyle Pond has to offer, you can camp at Frost Pond Campground. Whitewater paddling is not for

| | everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Ellis Brook. This lake is so wonderful. Big Squaw has great slopes and a friendly staff, and going for a hike on the Telephone Trail is always a perfect adventure. A normal amount of precipitation falls here at Kyle Pond; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain; the driest of the months is February. Good hiking is available along the Old Telos Tote Road, and there are some brilliant whitewater spots on Smith Brook.
