A good nearby hotel is Sanford Inn; this is a popular place for people from Portland-South Portland. This lake is so wonderful. Knights Pond is not the only place nearby, Beaver Dam Pond is a nearby lake; from Knights Pond you get a brilliant panorama of Great Hill. Yeah, come here to Knights Pond for a pleasant time. If you need a place to stay       Coachman Inn is a good choice; Knights Pond is a delightful place to visit for more than one day, Sand Pond Camping Park is a delightful place to camp nearby. A lake nearby is Cox Pond, and some of the water close by flows, like Abbott Brook. Much rain falls at Knights Pond; November is the wettest month with most rain while January is ordinarily the driest month. If you come at the right time of year, Great Works River offers some great whitewater, and a                  pleasant visit to The Sands is a fine way to spend an afternoon. Throughout the warm months here at Knights Pond, high temperatures regularly reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Knights Pond are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.
