If you like lakes and you're in this part of Maine you can check out Knickerbocker Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Little Ponderosa Campground is a great site to camp, and do schedule some time to go to Hogdon Cove if you have a chance. Acres Motor Court is a nice choice. Adams Pond Dam has wonderful water scenery and it's close to Knickerbocker Lakes, and camping at Knickerbocker Lakes is splendid fun, Shore Hills Campground and RV Park is a splendid local campground.
Whitewater paddling is tremendous on Sheepscot River, and swamps like Back River next to Knickerbocker Lakes make for tremendous spots to explore. This lake is so wonderful. You could also check out Adams Pond since you're here at
Knickerbocker Lakes; it's close by; tremendous hiking is available along the Hockomock Nature Trail. And if that's not sufficient, there's heaps more to do next to Knickerbocker Lakes. In case you don’t have a problem getting
wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Damariscotta River, and one of the principal characteristics of the surroundings of Knickerbocker Lakes is Kenniston Hill.
