This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Little Ponderosa Campground is a great site to camp, and do schedule some time to go to Hogdon Cove if you have a chance. At Knickerbocker Lakes during the warm months highs are in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are regularly in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the       wintertime at Knickerbocker Lakes temperatures drop to the 0's. Howard House Motel Bed & Breakfast is a great place to get some rest, and an afternoon playing golf at Boothbay Country Club is always a pleasure. Knickerbocker Lakes is a wet location that gets lots of rain; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is February. Don't forget to take a fine little spree to Campbell Creek; if you need a spot to stay Hillside                  Acres Motor Court is a nice choice. Adams Pond Dam has wonderful water scenery and it's close to Knickerbocker Lakes, and camping at Knickerbocker Lakes is splendid fun, Shore Hills Campground and RV Park is a splendid local campground. Whitewater paddling is tremendous on Sheepscot River, and swamps like Back River next to Knickerbocker Lakes make for tremendous spots to explore. This lake is so wonderful. You could also check out Adams Pond since you're here at Knickerbocker Lakes; it's close by; tremendous hiking is available along the Hockomock Nature Trail. And if that's not sufficient, there's heaps more to do next to Knickerbocker Lakes.
