Kimball Pond is always a pleasure to visit. This lake is so wonderful. There are perfect places to explore along the Matagamon Tote Road, and if you need a location to stay Katahdin Inn is a fine choice. Through the warmest time of the year here at Kimball Pond, high temperatures regularly reach the 70's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 50's. South Branch Pond Campground is a pleasant place to do that; if you come at the right time of year, Seboeis River offers some tremendous whitewater. A trip to Kimball Pond wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Haskell Rock Pitch, and you can go for a hike on the Spring Brook Trail.
