Comfort Inn & Suites is a nice location to get some rest; Berry Hill is picturesque and can be seen from here. Kimball Pond gets a lot of water; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. While you're here at Kimball Pond, you could also take a look at charming Davis Pond, and during your visit here you'll meet some folks from Augusta-Waterville for sure. This lake

| | is so wonderful. Really pleasant skiing awaits you at Titcomb, and there's whitewater on Wilson Stream for all you adrenaline rush seekers. This lake is so wonderful. Have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Kimball Pond with night lows in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are usually in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Kimball Pond. There's no such thing | |

as a bad day of skiing at nearby Eaton Mountain, and you'll find a beautiful lake called Boody Pond. Kimball Pond is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Camp Laurel is a fine local campground, and after a long day outdoors
Winthrop Motel is a good site to spend a night or two. Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! Kimball Pond is so good! Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Sandy River. There's so much
to do here at Kimball Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Five Seasons Campground is a delightful location for that.

Eaton Mountain
 | 20 miles away 3 PHOTOS Eaton Mountain provides affordable and convenient skiing, snowboarding, and snowtubing to the greater Waterville/Skowhegan area. The mountain boasts a suprising variety of terrain for a compact ski area including glades, challenging steeps, and classic New England style trails. Most of the area is covered with snowmaking and is lit for nightskiiing. Equipment rentals and lessons are available. The base lodge has a snackbar and provides a place to warm up by the wood stove and meet friends. The ski area has new owners as of November 2008 and will not be operating for the 2008-09 ski season. The new owners will be taking the time to make improvements and prepare for a grand reopening in the fall of 2009. Immediate improvements are planned to include an all new snowtubing facility and widening of the Moose slope for a new terrain park. The ski area is located on Lambert Road, just off Route 2 between Skowhegan and Canaan.... |
