Kezar Lake is a nice lake to visit. This lake is so wonderful. The slopes of Cranmore Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Wild River. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Horseshoe Pond; why not take a refreshing hike along the Cold Brook Trail. The high level of precipitation makes Kezar Lake a rather wet site; November is when you get
the most rain here; the driest month is September.
Charles River is one of the streams close by that might be worth going to, and Lake Kezar Country Club is a golf course nearby. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Fryeburg Harbor is rather next to Kezar Lake, and White Mountain Hotel and Resort is a delightful place to get some rest. Get your pulse rate up on the magnificent whitewater of Saco River - East Branch; hiking is a popular thing to do around

Kezar Lake; Province Brook Trail is a great local trail.

West Pond is a truly special place, in the foothils of Mr. Washington. As you approach the pond from the South on Rt. 160, you are met by a breathtaking view of Mt. Washington which is 40 miles away. The water in west pond is crystal clear, and you can often hear the loons. There is a large area around the pond that is protected in tree growth, so the pond will never face additional stress of building. There is also no public access for boats, and that keeps it quiet and free of the kind of noise and congestion you see in popular lakes elsewhere....
