Going for a hike on the Pierce Tote Road is always a pleasant adventure, and some nearby water includes Jimson Brook. There are perfect places to look at along the Kennedy Tote Road, and why not head up to Bigrock and strap some skis to your feet. A normal amount of rain falls here at Ketchum Lake; July is the wettest month with most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake       is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Meduxnekeag River - South Branch; if you need a place to stay Shiretown Motor Inn is a good choice. There is a perfect hiking trail in close proximity to Ketchum Lake called the Sweets Trail, and a tremendous nearby hotel is Scottish Inns Houlton. So much cool stuff to do at Ketchum Lake, so little time. On a beautiful day you obtain a sight of Nineteen Mountain                  from Ketchum Lake; why not camp at Neil E Michaud Campground since you're here at Ketchum Lake. There are some wonderful whitewater spots on B Stream, and if you came for an overnight stay Wilde Pines Campground is a great location to camp. Summertime highs at Ketchum Lake mostly tend to be in the 70's; the overnight is a bit cooler of course, regularly in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Ketchum Lake are in the 0's.
