     A delightful location for whitewater paddling close to Kennebago River Reservoir is Kennebago River; Johns Pond is a nearby lake that you could pop by. So many enjoyable things close to Kennebago River Reservoir, absolutely amazing. Kennebago River Reservoir is a delightful place to visit for more than one day, Cupsuptic Campground is a delightful place to camp nearby, and don't leave Kennebago River Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Bemis Trail.  
   This lake is so wonderful. Lower Station Dam has good water scenery and it's near Kennebago River Reservoir, and you can go for a hike on the Morrell Trail. Kennebago River Reservoir sees pretty high levels of precipitation; most of the rain falls through August; February is the month with the least moisture.
This lake is so wonderful. Really good skiing awaits you at Saddleback. Some close by water includes Otter Brook, and Black Mountain has brilliant
 
               slopes and a friendly staff. Going for a hike on the Milrose Trail is always a great adventure; while you're here, you could also stop by lovely Kennebago Lake.
You'll need more than a day to look at everything Kennebago River Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at North Camps, and Dead River - South Branch is a good whitewater spot close by. Summertime highs at Kennebago River Reservoir mostly tend to be in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and overnight lows at Kennebago River Reservoir during the winter usually drop into the-10's.

I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises....

I used to climb up as a kid, and I still love it. It is a fairly easy hike, but worth it at the end. There is one small brook crossing, but other then that, it is a great place to take kids young and old....
