Lakes are such peaceful sites, why not stop at Kennebago River Reservoir right next door to Kennebago Lake, and Black Brook is in the neighborhood of Kennebago Lake and is always a bliss to visit. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is splendid here at Kennebago Lake, you can go for a hike along the Milrose Trail. Near Kennebago Lake you locate the Bemis Trail which is a splendid hiking trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Cupsuptic Campground

For the period of the winter highs are ordinarily in the 20's; night lows in the-10's for Kennebago Lake. North Camps is a perfect campground nearby; wonderful scenery and delightful skiing is what you acquire at Saddleback. This lake is so wonderful.  | 14 miles away 2 PHOTOS I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises.... |
