     Lakes are such peaceful sites, why not stop at Kennebago River Reservoir right next door to Kennebago Lake, and Black Brook is in the neighborhood of Kennebago Lake and is always a bliss to visit. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is splendid here at Kennebago Lake, you can go for a hike along the Milrose Trail. Near Kennebago Lake you locate the Bemis Trail which is a splendid hiking trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Cupsuptic Campground  
   is a splendid spot to camp. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Kennebago Lake, and the nighttime is a little chillier of course, usually in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are ordinarily in the 20's; night lows in the-10's for Kennebago Lake.
North Camps is a perfect campground nearby; wonderful scenery and delightful skiing is what you acquire at Saddleback. This lake is so wonderful. The Morrell Trail is a tremendous hiking trail in close proximity
 
               to Kennebago Lake; skiing at Black Mountain is one of those things you just should do. Having a great time at Kennebago Lake is simple. Upper Station Dam is a location that is in close proximity to Kennebago Lake; get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Dead River - South Branch.
All the water falling down from the sky makes Kennebago Lake a wet location; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is February. You'll discover a delightful lake called Little Kennebago Lake near Kennebago Lake, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Kennebago River.

I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises....

I used to climb up as a kid, and I still love it. It is a fairly easy hike, but worth it at the end. There is one small brook crossing, but other then that, it is a great place to take kids young and old....

A new Inntopia Central Reservation and Packaging System will allow Saddleback to book lodging, Ski & Stay and other packages at the lodges in the town of Rangeley as well as the condominiums at the mountain.
NEW RENTAL AND RETAIL SHOPS
Saddleback will now operate the rental and retail shops in the base lodge that were previously operated by a lessee. This season the rental shop will have a new fleet of rental skis, boards, boots, bindings and poles. The retail shop will have a new inventory of clothing and accessories.

We stayed at South Arm campground and paddled the lake every day. One night we rented a wilderness site and tented from canoes. We also drove down the road and hiked out and back on the AT.
