You have to have a look at Skedaddle Cove when you're here at Kennebago Lake, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Kennebago River. Going for a hike along the Bemis Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and there's some flowing water close by, Big Sag Brook is a stream you can pop by while here. The high level of rainfall makes Kennebago Lake a pretty wet spot; the wettest month of the year is mostly August, that's the one that rains

| | the most, and February meanwhile is the driest month. The slopes of Saddleback are so inviting noone can resist, and you can have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Morrell Trail. For the period of the days of summer at Kennebago Lake temperatures are generally in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Kennebago Lake drop into the-10's. | |

you're here at Kennebago Lake. Not far from Kennebago Lake, you'll stumble on Flatiron Pond which is a pretty lake, and hiking along the Milrose Trail is perfect fun. This lake is so wonderful. What would winter be without some
skiing at Black Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. There are other sites here than Kennebago Lake, for example Kennebago Lake, and camping is available at North Camps.

 | 13 miles away 2 PHOTOS I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises.... |
