Summertime highs at Jordan Pond usually tend to be in the 70's, and the night is quite chillier of course, regularly in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Jordan Pond drop into the 10's. again. Go for a hike on the Jordan Pond East Side Trail, and close by you hit upon Tumbledown Cove. Union River is a brilliant whitewater spot in the vicinity of Jordan Pond, and if you have the time, Acadia National Park is a national
park worth going to.
A tremendous place like Amphitheater Valley here at Jordan Pond is too wonderful to miss, and getting to Bubble Brook from Jordan Pond is simple. A day at Gilley Beach close to Jordan Pond is time well spent.
There's so much to do here at Jordan Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Store is a pleasant location for that. A great deal of rain falls at Jordan Pond; all through the month of November you get the most rain around
here, and August is the month with the least moisture.
This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Bar Harbor-Days Inn Frenchman's Bay is a fine place to spend a night or two, and there's delightful hiking along the Jordan
Pond West Side Trail. Barr Hill is pretty and can be seen from Jordan Pond, and don't leave Jordan Pond without first going for a hike along the Jordan Pond Shore Trail. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t have a problem
getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Branch Lake Stream.
Put some time aside to spend at Birch Spring since you're here at Jordan Pond, and Water Company Dam is a place that is in close proximity to Jordan Pond.

Conners Nubble Trail
 | My wife and I and our two children (including son Conor, of course) hiked up Connor's Nubble in August, 2008. The Acadia National Park Brochure/Map identifies this little mountain as ''Connor's Nubble'' while the trail sign itself goes with ''Conner's Nubble.'' We hiked up Connor's Nubble from the south, off of the carriage road/bike trail that runs south along the west side of Eagle Lake. The hiking trail itself from the south approach is short, on the order of 1/3 mile. It's pretty steep, but not too challenging given its brevity. Once on top, the hiker is rewarded with sweeping views in all directions. The view of Eagle Lake is terrific, as is the gander at Cadillac Mountain. This is a very rewarding hike for such a short trail, and combined with a bike ride circumnavigating Eagle Lake, it makes for a terrific 3-hour jaunt.... |

| We went there in September, but, it seemed like an ideal, quiet place for hikers who may want to get off the beaten track on a very commercial island. The showers were clean, the sites were clean and it was not the most expensive. Forewarned, the shuttle bus doesn't go there, price to pay for remoteness.... |
