You could also stop by Little Sawtelle Pond since you're here at Jones Pond; it's nearby, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Matagamon Tote Road. Any time is a fine time at Jones Pond if you have a thing about the outdoors. Jones Pond is a tremendous spot to visit for more than one day, Umcolcus Sporting Camps is a tremendous spot to camp nearby, and get your heart beating on the pleasant whitewater                  of Munsungan Stream. Throughout the summertime at Jones Pond temperatures are mostly in the 70's while nighttime lows are generally in the 50's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and overnight lows all through the winter for Jones Pond tend to be in the-10's.
