     Maine has many beautiful lakes and Jones Pond is one of them. Near Jones Pond you locate Black Ledge which is a great spot to go to; you are near Bar Island Point while you're here. Grindstone Neck Golf Course is a golf course near Jones Pond, and Jones Pond is right by the Schoodic Head Trail. So many enjoyable things to do at Jones Pond, so little time. If you get bored of Jones Pond, you could also check out nearby Lily Pond; don't miss out on a visit to  
   Acadia National Park while you're here.
Take a hike on the The Anvil Trail, and a good place to camp here at Jones Pond is Flanders Bay. This lake is so wonderful. Swamps like Goose Pond Heath are fun to pop by, and if you come at the right time of year, Narraguagus River offers some good whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Bar Harbor Inn is a brilliant choice; why not camp at Mountainview Campground since you're here at Jones
 
               Pond.
Have a nice hiking adventure along the Alder Path Trail; The Harborside Hotel and Marina is a perfect spot to get some rest. Throughout the summertime months at Jones Pond highs are ordinarily in the 70's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Jones Pond temperatures fall to the 10's. Jones Pond typically gets a good deal of rainfall; November is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is August.

We went there in September, but, it seemed like an ideal, quiet place for hikers who may want to get off the beaten track on a very commercial island. The showers were clean, the sites were clean and it was not the most expensive. Forewarned, the shuttle bus doesn't go there, price to pay for remoteness....
