From a precipitation point of view Johnson Pond is a rather common site; through the month of July you get the most rain around here, and       February meanwhile is the driest month. Yeah, come here to Johnson Pond for a wonderful time. Paddling on Meduxnekeag River - South Branch is so much fun, and do take a hike on the Kennedy Tote Road. This lake is so wonderful. An afternoon playing golf at Houlton Community Golf Course is always a joy; probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Hunter Pond is just a very short distance away. You could also check out Sawyer Pond while you're here at                  Johnson Pond; it's nearby, and dry warm beds await you at Shiretown Motor Inn. Get covered with water paddling on B Stream, and Scottish Inns Houlton is a magnificent place to get some rest. Summertime highs at Johnson Pond regularly tend to be in the 70's; the nighttime is somewhat colder of course, mostly in the 50's.
