    Do stop by Joes Pond while you're in this part of Maine. Whitewater paddling is brilliant on Little Androscoggin River, and there are glorious places to explore along the Brook Trail. Joes Pond gets a common amount of rain; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is February. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors fun stuff the White Mountains has to offer. Really wonderful skiing awaits you at Mount Abram; Joes Pond is  
   great enough to spend more than a day at, Littlefield Beaches Campground is a great local campground.
This lake is so wonderful. The summit of Glass Face Mountain can be seen from Joes Pond, and you can go for a hike on the Angel Falls Trail. Having a magnificent time in the White Mountains is uncomplicated. Golf can be played at Oakdale Country Club, and pleasant water scenery is available at Mount Zircon Reservoir Dam near Joes Pond.                the middle of a stunning outdoors paradise. You can never get enough of the fine skiing at Black Mountain. There's so much to do here at Joes Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Mountain View Campground is a magnificent place for that.
Dry warm beds await you at The Perennial Inn, and it's a great idea to explore Zircon Brook. This lake is so wonderful. You could also stop at Mount Zircon Reservoir since you're here at Joes Pond; it's nearby, and going for a hike on the Chimney Trail is always a tremendous adventure. Nearby lakes? Sure, Androscoggin River Reservoir is close to Joes Pond, and in the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Swift River.
You just can't picture the amount of outdoors cool things the area in the neighborhood of Joes Pond has to offer. If you need a location to stay The Bethel Inn Resort is a great choice. NOVICES & INTERMEDIATES CAN SKI FROM THE SUMMIT -- FOR THE FIRST TIME
The new quad chairlift also allows novice and intermediate skiers to ski from the summit for the first time. Novices can now enjoy the panoramic views and ski along the 4000 ft. ridge amongst rime-frosted conifers before descending to the base via the 3.1 mile America and Hudson Highway trails. Intermediates can ski Tri-Color and Green Weaver, a one mile loop, back to the Kennebago Chair.
