Lots of folks from Augusta-Waterville come to Joe Pond, and wonderful scenery and great skiing is what you acquire at Eaton Mountain. If you need a site to stay Fairfield Inn & Suites Augusta is a tremendous choice, and Joe Pond is a pleasant place       to visit for more than one day, Whisperwood Lodge & Cottages is a pleasant place to camp nearby. Do check out Lily Bay in close proximity to Joe Pond, it's a scenic lake, and get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Cobbosseecontee Stream. The high level of precipitation makes Joe Pond a reasonably wet location; all through the month of November you get the most rain around here; the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Doctors Pond is a                  nearby lake that you could stop at, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. High temperatures at Joe Pond during the days of summer are in the 70's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
