In Maine there are many beautiful lakes, Joe Pokum Pond is one of them. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Black Arrow Lodge if you're here at Joe Pokum Pond; the slopes of Sugarloaf USA are so inviting noone can resist. Joe Pokum Pond is a good spot of typical rainfall; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. King & Bartlett Lake Camp is a great local campground, and do take a hike on the

| | Bigelow Range Trail. A charming lake like Deer Pond in the neighborhood of Joe Pokum Pond is a good place to have a look at, and there are some great whitewater spots on Parlin Pond Stream. Have a perfect hiking adventure along the Sally Mountain Trail, and there's whitewater on Spencer Stream for all you adrenaline people. You assume that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Stream if you're here at Joe Pokum Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Wilson Lake Inn; at Spencer Stream Dam near Joe Pokum Pond there are some exciting things to see. Gotta ski! Saddleback is a wonderful
place to do that, and Spencer Stream is a great lake nearby. All through the summertime highs here at Joe Pokum Pond get into the 70's, and the nighttime is quite chillier of course, usually in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and overnight lows in the-10's for Joe Pokum Pond.

 | 14 miles away 2 PHOTOS I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises.... |
