This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Jewell Lake that you need to camp here for a while, My Brothers Place is a fine location for that; the snow is pleasant at Bigrock. An average amount of rainfall falls at Jewell Lake; the wettest month of the year is mostly July, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the       year is February. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Jewell Lake. Nearby lakes? Sure, Portland Lake is near Jewell Lake, and after a long day outdoors Shiretown Motor Inn is a glorious place to spend a night or two. Whitewater paddling is tremendous on B Stream, and if you need a place to stay Scottish Inns Houlton is a magnificent choice. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Kennedy Tote Road; if you've had enough of Jewell Lake, Rideout                  Lake is nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Jewell Lake. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Jewell Lake. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Jewell Lake; Pierce Tote Road is a glorious local trail.
