    What a nice lake Jerry Pond is. At Jerry Pond all through the warm months highs are in the 70's, and the nighttime is quite colder of course, regularly in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Jerry Pond throughout the winter regularly plunge into the 0's. Katahdin Inn is a delightful spot to get some rest, and there's pleasant hiking along the Cedar Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart  
   beating on the good whitewater of Penobscot River - West Branch; Ledge Cut Brook is in the neighborhood of Jerry Pond and is always a diversion to pop by.
If you're a golfer then a good close by course is Hillcrest Golf Club, and fine hiking is available along the Gray Ledge Dam Trail. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Jerry Pond. While you're here at Jerry Pond, you could also stop by scenic Quakish Lake. There's so much to do here at Jerry
 
               Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Allagash Gateway Campsite is a good place for that. If you came to camp Chewonki's Big Eddy Campground is a wonderful location to do that, and you'll most likely meet some folks from Bangor here.
This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Millinocket Stream for all you thrill seekers. An average amount of rainfall falls at Jerry Pond; November is when you get the most rain here, and February on the other hand is the driest. Go for a hike on the Sandbank Trail, and do stop at Shad Pond, it's a pretty lake.
