For the period of the summer, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Jays Pond, and the night is a bit cooler of course, commonly in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's while Jays Pond overnight low temperatures all through the winter are in the 10's. Jays Pond beyond doubt is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. Stay the night at Chewonki Campground, and Sheepscot Links Golf Course is       a golf course nearby. Jays Pond is a good site of normal precipitation; November is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is February. Dry warm beds await you at Country Village Motel Apartments, and Beech Hill is a peak you can see from Jays Pond. Jays Pond is a nice place to camp, Down East Family Camping/tenting is a nice place, and in the event that you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sheepscot                  River - West Branch. This lake is so wonderful. During your journey to Jays Pond you'll meet some people from Augusta-Waterville for sure; Sheepscot River is a fine whitewater spot close by.
