on the wonderful whitewater of Sheepscot River - West Branch. This lake is so wonderful. There's some interesting stuff to distinguish at Sheepscot Pond Dam near James Pond; Town Line Campsites is a splendid campground nearby.
During the long summer days at James Pond highs are generally in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at James Pond. A glorious close by hotel is Holiday Inn Waterville,Me.
