It's always fun to stop by Jackson Pond. So many amusing things to do here at Jackson Pond, too nice to be true. Coos Canyon Cabins and Campground is a fine local campground, and a nice spot for whitewater paddling is Sandy River - South Branch. And if that's not sufficient there's a lot more entertaining stuff to do in the White Mountains. | | friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Tumbledown Pond, and the Chimney Trail is a glorious hiking trail nearby. High temperatures at Jackson Pond all through the months of summer are in the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Jackson Pond throughout the wintertime mostly descend into the-10's. Jackson | |

Really splendid skiing awaits you at Saddleback; a nice close by hotel is Wilson Lake Inn. On a pretty day you get a vista of Jackson Mountain from Jackson Pond, naturally you could also visit Muskrat Pond since you're here; it's
not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay The Perennial Inn is a fine choice; Jackson Pond is a splendid location to visit for more than one day, Dummer's Beach is a splendid location to camp nearby.
Just can't get enough of the White Mountains. Get your pulse rate up on the tremendous whitewater of Sandy River; nearby you find the Piazza Rock Trail which is a fine hiking trail.

The bridge in New Sharon is by far the largest waves just under the bridge. Tired arms went through that at the near end of day. The water after that is fast for about an hour after that.
