This lake is so wonderful. At Jackson Pond you can see Jackson Mountain, and Jackson Pond is a delightful site to visit for more than one day, Dummer's Beach is a delightful site to camp nearby. Tumbledown Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop at, and going for a hike on the Chimney Trail is always a fine adventure. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the White Mountains. in luck; Saddleback is in the vicinity of Jackson Pond, and you can go for a hike on the Piazza Rock Trail. The White Mountains scenery is always beautiful. What a location this is for outdoors folks. There are some fine whitewater
spots on Sandy River, and if you get bored of Jackson Pond you could also stop at close by Muskrat Pond. At Jackson Pond through the days of summer highs are in the 70's while night lows are commonly in the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are typically in the 20's; nighttime lows through the winter for Jackson Pond tend to be in the-10's.

The bridge in New Sharon is by far the largest waves just under the bridge. Tired arms went through that at the near end of day. The water after that is fast for about an hour after that.
