If you are traveling by, why not stop by Jackson Pond. And if you're still looking for more outdoors fun things just keep reading. There's great hiking along the Piazza Rock Trail, and camping at Jackson Pond is great fun, Dummer's Beach is a great local campground. The annual rain here at Jackson Pond is about average; the wettest month of the year is generally August, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.

| | The sight of Jackson Mountain from Jackson Pond is pretty; if you came for an overnight stay Coos Canyon Cabins and Campground is a good location to camp. This lake is one of the great places here in the White Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Gotta ski! Saddleback is a pleasant place to do that; if you come at the right time of year, Sandy River - South Branch offers some delightful whitewater. rest, and a lake nearby is Tumbledown Pond. For the duration of the warmest time of the year highs here at Jackson Pond get into the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. Highs throughout the wintertime are frequently in the 20's;
winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Jackson Pond. And if that's not enough there's loads more enjoyable things to do in the White Mountains. If you need a place to stay Hotel Harris is a tremendous choice; don't leave Jackson
Pond without first going for a hike along the Chimney Trail. Now, you may feel that's a heap but there's even more entertaining things to do here in the White Mountains. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Sandy River, and what would
winter be without some skiing at Black Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Brook Trail.
