Summertime highs at Isthmus Pond frequently tend to be in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Isthmus Pond are in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much       to do here at Isthmus Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Matagamon Wilderness Campground is a good spot for that, and do take a hike on the Matagamon Tote Road. You completely must like Isthmus Pond. Isthmus Pond is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Umcolcus Sporting Camps is a perfect local campground, and paddling on Munsungan Stream is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Munsungan Lake Tote                  Road; Econo Lodge Inn & Suites is a perfect spot to get some rest. Lakes? Sure, Boody Pond is close at hand; whitewater paddling is fine on Millinocket Stream. The amount of rain that falls at Isthmus Pond is close to the national average; most of the rain falls through July while February is typically the driest month.
