     If you need a place to stay Bingham Motor Inn is a brilliant choice; Kennebec River has a delightful whitewater paddling spot close by. There's great hiking along the Arnolds Trail. Don't leave Island Pond without first going for a hike along the Big Squaw Mountain Trail. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Island Pond has to offer, you can camp at Northern Outdoors. Island Pond gets a common amount of annual rainfall; July is the wettest month  
   with most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture.
This lake is so wonderful. Take a side tour to North Branch Chase Stream; you can stay the night at Enchanted Outfitters & Lodge. Yep, outdoors cool stuff to do are beyond doubt plentiful here at Island Pond. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Island Pond; Intake Trail is a delightful local trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at close by Horseshoe
 
               Pond. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Island Pond. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's while Island Pond night low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the-10's.
Lanigan Dam is not far at all from Island Pond, and not far from Island Pond you'll discover Round Pond which is a pretty lake.
