If you come at the right time of year, Crooked River offers some perfect whitewater, and the skiing at Shawnee Peak is splendid. Going for a hike along the Albany Notch Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Farnsworth Brook. If you need a place to stay Pleasant Mountain Inn is a fine choice, and hiking along the Albany Brook       Trail is nice fun. This lake is so wonderful. Swamps like Baker Bog close to Island Pond make for great spots to pop by, and everybody nearby loves skiing at Mount Abram. You completely ought to like Island Pond. Lakes? Sure, McWain Pond is close by. There's so much to do here at Island Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Vacationland Campground is a fine place for that. Island Pond gets a great deal of water; the month with most of the rain is                  November, and the driest of the months is September. This lake is so wonderful. A perfect close by hotel is The Bethel Inn Resort, and you can have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Albany Mountain Trail. Bridgton Highlands Country Club is a great golf course close by. During the long summer days, highs frequently are in the 70's at Island Pond, and the nighttime is a little chillier of course, frequently in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 20's while Island Pond nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's.
