    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Island Pond. If the weather is wonderful, you acquire a brilliant view of Black Mountain from Island Pond. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Island Pond has to offer, you can camp at Little Black Check Point. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Big Brook River, and the Fox Brook Trail offers hiking at its best. The amount of rain that falls at Island Pond is close to the national average; August is when  
   you get the most rain here, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
At Island Pond through the summertime months highs are in the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 10's, and nighttime lows at Island Pond during the winter mostly sink into the-10's. Yep, outdoors exciting stuff to do are beyond doubt abundant here at Island Pond. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Island Pond
 
               Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can have a look at Perch Pond Dam; Island Pond is a wonderful location to visit for more than one day, Pelletier's Campground is a wonderful location to camp nearby.
Drift down the rapids of Fish River in a kayak, and do take a hike on the Round Trail.
