Why not take a refreshing hike along the Round Trail, and paddling on Fish River is so much fun. There's some flowing water nearby, Flint Brook is a stream you can explore while you're here, and Lucifee Pond is a nearby lake that you could explore. This lake is so wonderful. A trip to Island Pond wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Fish River Falls; there's great hiking along the Island       Pond Trail. An average amount of rain falls at Island Pond; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest month of the year is February. High temperatures at Island Pond through the summertime are in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. Throughout the wintertime highs are frequently in the 10's, and night lows in the-10's for Island Pond. There's so much to do here at Island Pond that you need to camp                  here for a while, Pelletier's Campground is a tremendous location for that. You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Island Pond has to offer, you can camp at Clover Hill Campground, and glide down the rapids of Machias River in a kayak.
