Maine has many beautiful lakes and Island Pond is one of them. The panorama of Norris Hill from Island Pond is wonderful, and Island Pond is a splendid spot to visit for more than one day, Riverbend Campground is a splendid spot to camp nearby. You clearly have to adore Island Pond. People from Lewiston-Auburn love to come to Island Pond; if you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Nezinscot River. | | called Bonny Pond near Island Pond, and a tremendous nearby hotel is Winthrop Motel. Do pop by Cochnewagon Lake close to Island Pond, it's a beautiful lake, and Travel Inn is a good place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Lost Valley since you're here, and a golf course close by is Springbrook Golf Club. During the summertime | |

highs here at Island Pond get into the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Island
Pond sink into the 0's. All the water falling down from the sky makes Island Pond a wet location; during November this area sees the most rain while February is commonly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is brilliant on Cobbosseecontee Stream, and Beaver Brook Campground is a brilliant campground nearby.

 | 17 miles away Fun short spot, We made it a overnight trip and had a good old time. There needs to be a bunch of water in this stream to even make it doable. on 4/20 we were scooting-ass over many shallow spots in our yaks. Fun drops with laziness inbetween make for a good time especially for the novice.... |
