Isinglass Pond mostly gets a good deal of rainfall; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain while September is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Camping at Maine Mountain is always a tremendous experience, and you can run the rapids of Saco River. The snow is great at Shawnee Peak. Camping is available at Blackburn's Camp Ground; a perfect nearby hotel       is Sanford/Kennebunkport Super 8 Motel. This lake is so wonderful. From Isinglass Pond you acquire a good vista of Isinglass Hill, and if you need a spot to stay Sanford Inn is a great choice. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Isinglass Pond. During the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's.
