At Ireland Pond throughout the long summer days highs are in the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Ireland Pond are in the-10's. Dry warm beds await you at Katahdin Inn, and Ireland Pond is right by the Millinocket Lake Tote Road. If you came to camp Matagamon Wilderness Campground is a perfect       location to do that, and let's not forget Beaver Brook which is a stream that you may bump into during your stay. If only every place had this much outdoors fun things, what a great world it would be. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Matagamon Tote Road, and Millinocket Stream is a great whitewater spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at South Branch Pond Campground is always a great experience, and hiking along the Munsungan Lake Tote Road                  is perfect fun. Ireland Pond is a good location of normal rain; July is the month that gets the most rain; February meanwhile is the driest month. If you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Munsungan Stream, unsurprisingly you could also explore First Lake since you're here; it's not far at all.   Katahdin Inn, Millinocket 29 miles away The Econo Lodge is located at the northern end of the Appalachian Trail.
