    Beautiful Intake Pond has much to offer visitors. High temperatures at Intake Pond during the long summer days are in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's while Intake Pond night low temperatures during the winter are in the-10's. Man, is there heaps of fun stuff to do close to Intake Pond. Bingham Motor Inn is a great place to get some rest, and there's magnificent hiking along the Intake Trail. The yearly  
   rainfall here at Intake Pond is about average; the month with most of the rain is July, and February is when it's the driest.
The Big Squaw Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best, and you can stay the night at Northern Pride Lodge and Campground. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious close by hotel is Lodge at Moosehead Lake, and you can run the rapids of Piscataquis River - East Branch.
There's so much to do here at Intake Pond that you need to camp
 
               here for a while, Casey's Spencer Bay Campground is a brilliant spot for that; the view of wonderful Little Squaw Mountain is tremendous. A wonderful spot for whitewater paddling near Intake Pond is Kennebec River - East Outlet, and naturally Little Squaw Brook flows through this region.
