You       can run the rapids of Piscataquis River - East Branch in close proximity to Intake Pond, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Intake Pond; Intake Trail is a tremendous local trail. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not pop by Big Squaw Pond close to Intake Pond; camping is available at Northern Pride Lodge and Campground. You'll locate a charming lake called Little Squaw Pond near Intake Pond; Bingham Motor Inn is a pleasant location to get some rest.                  During the warmest time of the year here at Intake Pond, high temperatures frequently get into the 70's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. All through the wintertime the highs are generally in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Intake Pond.
