It's a wonderful idea to explore Bog Stream, it's close to Inghan Pond, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Long Pond. If you need a spot to stay Econo Lodge Inn & Suites is a perfect choice; skiing at Titcomb is one of those things you just ought to do. is the month with the least amount of precipitation. You can take a little trip to Long Pond Storage Dam while you're here at Inghan Pond, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Cobbosseecontee Stream. Dry warm beds await you at Winthrop
Motel, and not far from Inghan Pond you'll stumble on Long Pond which is a picturesque lake. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Inghan Pond. There's so much to do here at Inghan Pond that you need to camp here for
a while, Five Seasons Campground is a good site for that, and Inghan Pond is a place with many visitors from Augusta-Waterville. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Inghan Pond has to offer, you can camp at Camp Laurel, and from Inghan Pond you obtain a splendid view of Hornbeam Mountain.

Eaton Mountain
 | 21 miles away 3 PHOTOS Eaton Mountain provides affordable and convenient skiing, snowboarding, and snowtubing to the greater Waterville/Skowhegan area. The mountain boasts a suprising variety of terrain for a compact ski area including glades, challenging steeps, and classic New England style trails. Most of the area is covered with snowmaking and is lit for nightskiiing. Equipment rentals and lessons are available. The base lodge has a snackbar and provides a place to warm up by the wood stove and meet friends. The ski area has new owners as of November 2008 and will not be operating for the 2008-09 ski season. The new owners will be taking the time to make improvements and prepare for a grand reopening in the fall of 2009. Immediate improvements are planned to include an all new snowtubing facility and widening of the Moose slope for a new terrain park. The ski area is located on Lambert Road, just off Route 2 between Skowhegan and Canaan.... |
