     A wonderful close by hotel is Econo Lodge Inn & Suites; Meadow Hill is clearly visible from Hutchinson Pond. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at close by Little Jimmie Pond, and naturally Bog Brook is a delightful stream that is worth going to. Whohoo, so many entertaining things in one place! Hutchinson Pond is peerless! At Hutchinson Pond you always meet someone from Augusta-Waterville, and why not camp at Foggy Bottom  
   Marine while you're here at Hutchinson Pond. All through the warm months, highs commonly are in the 70's at Hutchinson Pond. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's while Hutchinson Pond night low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 0's.
This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Augusta West Lakeside Resort is a glorious site to camp; a golf course nearby is Kennebec
 
               Heights Country Club. Get your heart pumping on the fine whitewater of Cobbosseecontee Stream; if you need a site to stay Maple Hill Farm B & B Inn is a good choice. Hutchinson Pond gets lots of water; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail is great fun. Cobbosseecontee Lake Dam is stunning and it's close to Hutchinson Pond. Lakes? Sure, Jimmie Pond is close at hand.

Fun short spot, We made it a overnight trip and had a good old time. There needs to be a bunch of water in this stream to even make it doable. on 4/20 we were scooting-ass over many shallow spots in our yaks. Fun drops with laziness inbetween make for a good time especially for the novice....

Eaton Mountain provides affordable and convenient skiing, snowboarding, and snowtubing to the greater Waterville/Skowhegan area. The mountain boasts a suprising variety of terrain for a compact ski area including glades, challenging steeps, and classic New England style trails. Most of the area is covered with snowmaking and is lit for nightskiiing. Equipment rentals and lessons are available. The base lodge has a snackbar and provides a place to warm up by the wood stove and meet friends.
The ski area has new owners as of November 2008 and will not be operating for the 2008-09 ski season. The new owners will be taking the time to make improvements and prepare for a grand reopening in the fall of 2009. Immediate improvements are planned to include an all new snowtubing facility and widening of the Moose slope for a new terrain park.
The ski area is located on Lambert Road, just off Route 2 between Skowhegan and Canaan....
