    What a nice lake Hutchinson Pond is. Looking for some flowing water? Try Bog Brook, and do take a look at Cobbosseecontee Lake Dam if you're here. Jimmie Pond is a nearby lake that you could visit, and Hutchinson Pond is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Foggy Bottom Marine is a brilliant local campground. The high level of rain makes Hutchinson Pond a rather wet location; November is the wettest month with most rain; February meanwhile is the driest  
   month.
Throughout the days of summer at Hutchinson Pond temperatures are typically in the 70's; the overnight is fairly cooler of course, frequently in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and night lows at Hutchinson Pond all through the wintertime frequently sink into the 0's. Camping at Augusta West Lakeside Resort is always a delightful experience; if you need a place to stay Maple Hill Farm B & B Inn is a perfect choice. There are some great
 
               whitewater spots on Cobbosseecontee Stream; the sight of charming Meadow Hill is nice.
Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things near Hutchinson Pond. Do check out Little Jimmie Pond near Hutchinson Pond, it's a pretty lake, and there are plenty of people from Augusta-Waterville here. This lake is so wonderful. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Kennebec Heights Country Club; a tremendous close by hotel is Econo Lodge & Suites. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail is wonderful fun.

Fun short spot, We made it a overnight trip and had a good old time. There needs to be a bunch of water in this stream to even make it doable. on 4/20 we were scooting-ass over many shallow spots in our yaks. Fun drops with laziness inbetween make for a good time especially for the novice....

Eaton Mountain provides affordable and convenient skiing, snowboarding, and snowtubing to the greater Waterville/Skowhegan area. The mountain boasts a suprising variety of terrain for a compact ski area including glades, challenging steeps, and classic New England style trails. Most of the area is covered with snowmaking and is lit for nightskiiing. Equipment rentals and lessons are available. The base lodge has a snackbar and provides a place to warm up by the wood stove and meet friends.
The ski area has new owners as of November 2008 and will not be operating for the 2008-09 ski season. The new owners will be taking the time to make improvements and prepare for a grand reopening in the fall of 2009. Immediate improvements are planned to include an all new snowtubing facility and widening of the Moose slope for a new terrain park.
The ski area is located on Lambert Road, just off Route 2 between Skowhegan and Canaan....
